Lord Frank, Mega is the experimental server.  That's why it has 600 turns.  Tests are meant to be mainly carried out in Mega (you can finish researching in 1.5 days)

With your programming schedule (full version in all servers by June 20), that leaves only 1 month and 2 weeks for Blitz.

Blitz has only 200 turns, researching spells already takes 2 weeks.  This is too short a timetable for Blitz.  Resetting on 28 May will just mean a very short game in the next round.  Many later joiners will only experience researching, being invaded, and then the next reset.

Time is the main issue here.  There isn't enough time between now and 20 June for a full game.  With so little time, it's best to just leave it until 20 June - no reset.

For me, Blitz is not boring, but even if we ignore the boring/fun issue here, let's consider the time issue.  Don't reset, there is not enough time for another round.

@Tarsius

It may or may not be about whether a server is fun or boring, but still, Lord Frank decides based on that, so that is what we go by.

Reset every 3 months?  That is news to me.  I never knew there was such a rule.  I wish somebody told me about it earlier.  I played as if this server was going to be reset on 20 July - which was what Lord Frank told us he was going to do.

Ultimately, it is the suddenness of the reset (i.e. 28 May) that upsets me.  I mean, if I had early warning, e.g. 1 month? 2 weeks? in advance, it wouldn't have hit me so hard.  This just came up suddenly, and I have like, 2 days to get ready?

About the 3 month reset rule, if we reset on 28 May, and reset again on 20 July (that is only 1.5 months), wouldn't there be less than 3 months of playing for the next reset?  Why not keep it running for just another 1.5 more months?  Just 1.5 months for the next round is not enough to have a normal game.  I remember in Maritel days, games went on far beyond 6 months.

To reset is more work than to just leave it running, especially when resetting it means next round is only a short 1.5 months - not enough to play normally.  Not enough to geld, buy heroes, etc. especially when you consider researching, which takes 2 weeks already.

2 weeks = 0.5 month

So that leaves only 1 month of actual playing.  1 month?  That's way too little.  When I first heard it, a 3 month reset felt short.  But now only 1 month of actual playing?  Better to leave the server running till 20 June than go through all the trouble of resetting just to play 1 month.

1.5 months duration
1 month actual playing

Consider what a bad effect this will have on people joining late (not everyone watches their clock on Saturday to be the first 50 people to join).  Having such a short playing duration, it virtually ensures that only the first 50-100 people get a real shot at Top 10.  Everyone else who joins 2 days? 1 week? 2 weeks? late will suffer from too short a time to build themselves up.

NOOO!! No reset!!

Lord Frank, no reset in Blitz please, for these reasons below

- the ones on top are bored, but us below are working hard to get up, for us, it is very interesting, EVERYDAY!
- many people don't read or post, especially those who don't read Spanish, therefore, those who post and are bored may not be the REAL MAJORITY
- as far as the real majority is concerned :
*           Mega Blitz is going to be reset on 28 May
*           Blitz was not going to be reset AT ALL
- then SUDDENLY you announce that Blitz is going to be reset in 2-3 days
- we didn't even have ENOUGH WARNING
- many of us just lived our daily lives not expecting a reset, therefore we are not prepared, (on top of that, many of us lived and did things AS IF there wasn't going to be a reset, so this will hit us hard, like a September 11, all of a sudden!)
- ok, I understand it may be boring for some people at the top, but it is going to   be just as boring after the reset when the dust settles (isn't it always boring at the top anyway, even back in the Maritel days?  What do you expect when the top guilds are all NAP and Top 10 is only 2 guilds? - this is not going to change when you reset Blitz, give 1 month, and things will be back to boring for them)

And besides, Lord Frank, your philosophy was always to reset Mega Blitz anyway and leave the other servers alone.  Why are you now not resetting Mega Blitz?  Why are you resetting Blitz instead?

At least consider these 2 other alternatives

- just update Blitz, not reset it (I don't know if this is possible, but if it is, why not?)
- (even if you have to reset) postpone the Blitz reset.  Give us more notice, more time to prepare.  Delay it 1 week? 2 weeks? 1 month?

I spent so much time building up my mage to have it all suddenly end on me in 2 days time!  If I knew it was going to end on the 28 May I would have played entirely differently all the time.  If it resets 28 May, all my hopes are dashed.

I apologise if I seem self serving and whiny, but if ever you were wondering whether Blitz is boring, this is the answer you've been looking for.  BLITZ IS NOT BORING!

I was the guest that made a post 2 posts back saying I can\'t delete my other accidentally created mage #65.

I still can\'t delete him.

But don\'t worry.  I\'ve managed to kill him through making his gold go down to 0.

So please don\'t worry about it anymore.  Thank you.
