marduk and someone else (sorry, forget who) confirmed that you need 250k mana to dispell.  marduk also said that they are working on the dispell forumla, so hopefully full spells wont mean certain death  :D

Before I waste mana, can anyone tell me if treants are worth casting for whites?  Does plant growth work based on spell level or is it a set incresae?

it would also be helpful to have a notification that a spell has been cast on you.  the only way i seem to notice is when  i see the buildings that are destroyed after using turns  :P

I strongly agree!  I hate having to worry about being hit while I'm disbanding to mana charge, attack, or even bid on items on the black market.  I dismissed my lv 19 shepheredess because I was worried about losing a hero, but I still have to worry about preachers and knights.
I know that changes have been implemented on super blitz guild so that units accounting for less than 1% of your army are not involved in battle, but this isn't the case on mega blitz (not sure about the other servers).  So if this change is not brought about to these other servers, I think this auto disband is a terrific idea.

I noticed today that although you cannot take land from a mage less than half your power, you can still pillage geld and items from them.  This would probably make it pretty easy to milk.  Also, would it be possible to not allow magical compasses to be taken during pillages?

Cita1. Why do we not gain buildings when we gain land on attacks? Why must we always build forts, instead of taking them from enemies?

2. Why can someone stack 1 of any unit? Stacks of less than at least 1% of army power shouldn't be in the battle. That is a lame tactic and it should be fixed.

3. It is too easy for ANYONE to get archangels. Having a million mages at 6mil net power with 5k land with pure AA is stupid. AA's are already too powerful than what they should be in this game, and their resurrection rate is too high. Even if a mage buys gate, doesn't mean they should be able to easily get AA's. Off color spell casting is supposed to be harder to do, so 1) you shouldn't get that many units per cast; 2) AA's should be acquired less frequently and more knight, angles, and unis. The power and resurrection abilities, and ease to get AA's has this game unbalanced.  Greens just sit mono AA and lore their butts off til they wanna climb.

4. Why do reinforcements from allies attack low stacks? You're getting your allies middle stack units as reinforcements, so why do they attack enemies lower stacks? Reinforcemetns should always attack top stack(or in the case of a ground melee reinforcement, attack the first ground stack.) Reinforcements can be so strong they entirely wipe out low stacks, which is usually fodder.

5. Red dragons die too easily especially to treants. Treants should not be able to kill red dragons as easy as they do, especially with no spell to help their melee attack. They are the most powerful unit in the game, and having them die so easily makes it almost impossible to have a good defense with them because they count as so much power.  26 dragons only kill 2 nix, but in the same battle nix kill 3 dragons??  And this is with 13 heroes!

6.  Why do I only get to counter a deviler 1 time?  There should be a severe consequence to deviling.  I have nothing against devils, unless it's fair.  Give me a power for power counter and things will be fine.  There should also be a significant pop upkeep for the devil prince.  With the ease of casting CoS, the server will be flooded with nethers that are devil happy.  Why should a nether mage be able to have the power to wipe out a stack and kill a hero with hardly any consequence?

7.  When you look people up in arena, you should be able to see what guild they're in.  Why can't I check arena on people who've attacked me and see what guild they're in?  The only place you can see what mages belong to what guild is on the ranking page.  Let us see it in the Arena too.

8.  When I'm pillaged, why can't you tell me how much land was destroyed?  How much geld did I lose?  what item did i lose??
Addressing point #2.  Frank noted in a later post this was fixed.  I'm just curious as to what degree this was changed.  Stacks that account for less than 1% of your army do not engage in attacks AND defense?  Or is it simply for a single unit?

upkeep isn't listed, but you definitely pay the 666 upkeep in population.

Can someone please tell me the valor formula?  I don't think this ability is working correctly.  I have 7 lv 17+ heros with valor, and my AAs only have an attack power of about 8k.

CitaI don't think Sage works period.  I've got a lvl 16 and there is no change in spell casting cost at all.....are they worth anything?  I would like to not pay upkeep for nothing.

i think there is no use for a sage other than researching right now.  spell lore does not work.

The ability is very powerful when you have both a soul reaper and necromancer at relatively high levels.  Many things have a low resistance to cold attacks anyway, so who knows...

CitaHmm... Well, the Rally ability from shieldmaiden seem to ber working fine even if she is not leading a stack.. So is valor, animate dead.

Could anyone check on these...

1. Chill touch - still does not work; the only time chill touch is activated if that hero would lead a stack.

2. Channeling (non-battle) - does not increase mana production. :)

3. Valkyrie suppose to have icicle and iceshield... I wonder what happen to that.
1.  Chill touch does work even when the stack is not led by the hero, just not all the time.  BTW, the ability is very powerful.  I've had chill touch kill up to 7 ultimates - including nixes, elementals, leviathan, etc.  Not sure if that's because I have two lv 17 heros with chill touch though.  

2  Channeling does work.  The extra mana income is not reported on your status page, but you do recieve additional mana income.  I got 150 extra mana/turn when my shaman was lv 17.  I dont know if it's a % of income or a straight gain.

3.  I'm also wondering about icicle/ice shield.  The abilities would be very useful...and not make me feel like an idiot for paying 4 bil for my valk =p

Spell description states that it destroys a random number of undead.  Is that really the spell effect?  I remember in mari AM that the spell would give melee units holy attack and also decrease mana income by ~30% or so.

So just checking up on this again...sorry to be a nuisance, but the changes regarding many heros with one stack haven't been implemented yet, have they?  I've still been testing hero abilities and they still appear to work somewhat randomly, especially in regards to abilities like mind blast, chill touch, healing, etc.  Also, valkyrie abilities (besides valor) do not seem to be implemented either (I think I saw a question on the boards about that somewhere).  I will be testing terror/unholy aura once my dread knight hits lv 18 =p.

that seems like a ridiculous amount of mana to dispell.  i mean if you manage to upset someone at a low level, it's almost certain death if they completely spell you and power up to the point where you can't do much damage to them

Another odd thing i've noticed is that it's impossible (i think) to dispell an enchantment from another mage.  I was testing this with a blue mage I had.  A nether cast death and decay on me, and I used 200, 000 mana to dispell, but no luck.  It seems the only way to remove the spell is through a (successful) attack?  If anyone has noticed this problem, please let me know.  Thanks

Just purchased a lv 17 sage, and after doing the calculations it doesn't seem the spell lore ability is implemented.  I browsed through the update section, and didn't see any news on it.  I was just curious if it's being worked on or if it is already working (and I made a mistake).  Thanks :D

When using DoS, if you encounter an enemy with no units and cast the spell, you will gain/destroy 0 lands.  Also, losses of 0/0 are displayed when encountering an enemy, making it quite a nuisance to gain land using the spell  :P

i've noticed the same thing.  on offense anyway, only the ability of the hero commanding a stack comes into play.  on defense, however, it seems that (all?) the hero abilities work from the mages i've engaged.  another unusual aspect is that hero abilities of the defensor are activated even if there are no units defending.

has anyone noticed that the market is acting very strangely?  i ordered two heroes but never recieved them.  after the auction ended i got no notification that i won, but my geld was missing and the heroes aren't there.
