on top of that, I think they can\'t do nothing against you if the original image is question was accessible publicly at the time you got it (that is of course, with some exception. Warez doesn\'t count ) and you\'re not making any profit with it.

I somewhat agree with Iratus. ArchMage had their images, and I feel we should let them be. With all the pettiness and imatutrity that Mari showed with their game, it would not be surprising if they attempted to sue for the use of their images. Because someone, somewhere put effort into making them. In a way, im surprised there has been nothing done with using the same spell names and the same unit names that they have used. There almost has to be a copyright on them somewhere. Besides, hopefully this game will have a better run the AM did. While it is based on that game, lets not make it exactly like AM because, face it, that game had several major faults.



On the other hand,

some custom made images would help add color and life to the game. Instead of the pendant that was in AM denoting your mage color, why not make it a staff. A staff with a green orb on top for verdant mages, white orb for ascendant, and so on. Unit images would be easy to make (except for me, I cant draw a straight line with a ruler :cry: ).



Anywayz, these are just a few thoughts that I have had. I have only been playing this game for about 4 hours now and I must say, GREAT JOB TO ALL INVOLVED. :cheer:

http://archmage.magewar.com/archmage/ and the last news ,due to are a bit old ,don´t say anything about maritel has been broken or bankrupted or something else



but even if they dissappear the intellectual property of the game belong to them,so even that i think the original archmage graphic style is nice we must try to design another one completely different if we want to  be free from legal troubles in the future

In case u don´t know, when something is registered there is a range of \"things\" that makes it registred.   I don´t know very well how to explain it, but if u have an image (for example) u want to use, u just have to change some colors, a little part of the design and things like that, so the image doesn´t be exactly like the original one.  



A few changes, and it´s legally a different thing....



With that, u can get images, music, etc.  very similar to the wanted one, but legally yours.
