Revenger - in response to your guild offer:



  I talked it over with my pals.   We decided that there are still significant differences between this and the old AM that we need to get a handle on (example:  I just discovered tonight to my extreme misfortune that the Holy Word spell isn\'t working yet.. totally screwed my attack run.. heh.   I really must learn to double-check which spells are active..)

  Anyhow - we think that we\'ll learn better and faster if we don\'t join a guild.  We might throw one together for just the three of us just to make it easier to communicate in-game (we\'re not all in the same state), and so we can set up NAPS with others as a group.



  We realize that pretty much kills our chances of staying in the top rankings - but again.. the learning experience & all.



  But thank you for your offer - and good luck in the game, eh?

huh - didn\'t see the comment about Holy Word the first time through.



Early in the reset, and at the lower rankings, holy word rocks against black.  The players I was attacking had 1) no barriers, 2) 4+ stacks of black units, with no or few off-color units (for the most part), and 3) only about 7 million net power for 2500+ land.



If holy word had worked, it would\'ve been an instant win.



At the higher rankings, you\'re better off using something else.   Sword of Light is the old standby, but other things can be useful - like Paralyze against a single-stacker.  (The issue when fighting a single-stacking black isn\'t not doing enough damage to them - it\'s whether they can do more damage to you.   Prevent that and you win.)
